    No the wii can not play DVDs

    there maybe a hardware upgrade later or a new wii for sale that does but the current wiis do not read DVDs.

    why dont people just try these things out first before asking? I mean, your wii is right there
    If the Xbox 360 console falls and hits someone, especially a small child, it could cause serious injury.

    or you can just do as I do, and qustion him on his inability to check for himself, ad not look like such an ass who has to up his font size to sound important...

    no it doesnt, not yet anyway. and it plays discs backwards? bull how do gc discs work then?
