    UK Wii Points Rip Off

Why is the Uk getting ripped off for Wii points?

19.95 is the Highstreet price at stores such as Virgin, Game etc, seen in Bristol Cribbs Causeway today.
Amazon are selling them at 14.99, with the cheapest seller at 14.79.

With the current exchange rate off www.fxtop.com, 2000 Wii points in the United States cost $20.00, which equates to 10.19.

Who is going to stamp out this monopoly in the UK market and allow fair trade????

I think I might check out my Woolworths store then.

And to answer one of the questions raised, in the UK a standard DS games RRP is 29.99 and a Wii game RRP is 39.99

Even so, I get DS games for 24.99 and Wii games for 29.99-34.99
I am very tight when it comes to money, never spending more than I need to.

Because its the UK and we pay more for everything. I bought my Wii from Amazon.de and with international shipping costs it was still a fiver less. I think only Australia and New Zealand pay more for the Wii and games.

Yeah, we're being ripped off. As usual. Everything costs more in Europe, and my guess is it's due to higher taxes than in America. These days I spending a lot more on Amazon and Play than in shops...

By the way, 79aust- are you sure Game was selling them at 19.95? The Game stores in my town sell them for 14.99.

    I never add friend codes.
