Wii update concerns/questions

Got my Wii today and I can't wait to get home and play it!

My concern is about the updates. Are there any I should avoid? I heard that one of them is causing problems that require sending the console back to Nintendo.

I think that issue has been resolved and only involved the first update.

I have not heard anyone having any problems with the subsequent updates.

Yes thats true it was resolved very quickly by nintendo and all units that were effected have been delt with accordingly.

mine has had no problems so you should be fine.

Nintendo handles issues quickly. By the time you hear about a problem, it's already resolved.

You can't selectively choose to download some updates versus others; it's either an all or none sort of thing.

In very rare instance, some peoples internet connection gets jacked up and the update doesn't complete properly. . .will this happen to you? probably not!
