    ^^States that although the author of the article prefers copper (since it's better than Gold), Silver is clearly the best conductor.

    Clearly you have not done your research.
    1. i didn't said gold wasn't
    2. silver does not rust, you said it does
    3. the actuall cable will most likely be copper, but the strands of wire are twisted and then all the twists are coated, usualy tin, but can be gold or silver, this just improves the flow of electricity. and the wire isn't actually made of gold.
    4. you talk to me about not doing my research, when i don't need to because i know what i'm talking about, and secondly (on this point) you hadn't done yours, as you were talking about rusting, and now about actuall cabling, which can't be releated, as the actuall cabling is inside a plastic cover, which iis sealed, and no water or air can get to it.

    1080p is actually pretty mainstream at the moment.

    And the 360 can display in 1080p.

    And csi Gold doesn't prevent rust ;/. You must have gotten corrosion confused with rust.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mainstream - Just because something is available, doesn't really mean it's mainstream.

    * something that is ordinary or usual;
    * something that is familiar to the masses;
    * something that is available to the general public.

    The only condition that 1080p actually meets is the last one, it is available to the general public. For something to become mainstream, it has to be around for quite some period of time. DVD's are "pretty mainstream", 1080p, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD are not.

    As of October 31st, 2006, the Xbox 360 is able to output 1080p, so that statement is true.

    About the gold;
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...6191120AAPRfzy

    Gold does NOT rust. If there was Iron underneath the Gold that was exposed to oxygen for some period of time, rust would develop underneath the gold, but the gold itself would not rust. I'll have to backread into this discussion some more, but yes, if you cover something that reacts with oxygen, such as iron, completely (to the extent that no air can come in contact with the iron), the iron will NOT rust, hence, the gold HAS prevented rusting from occuring.

    Wanted: Resident Evil 4, no Wii games currently.

    I'm glad you took the time to wiki to say things that have already been said.

    And if you are going to use "mainstream" in that context, then high def tv's themselves aren't even mainstream. But as far as High Definition Televisions go, 1080 is mainstream, as every non low cost hdtv that is coming out now supports 1080p via HDMI.

    I bought some off brand cables on ebay. They work fine. All you get by buying ninentdo brand is the right to pay for their marketing. There are no moving parts or motherboards to go bad in cables. There is no reason they should stop working. here is a power seller that you can get them from for $12 including shipping.

    this is the seller: koonixtoys

    I'm sure there are others.

    WTF how am i having trouble understand that, read what i said!! i said gold does not rust, so if you cover iron cables (not that you would have iron cables) with gold, the iron will not rust,but the thing is, you don't do that often, and using gold cables isn't exactly something i would do, as gold isn't a strong metal.
    You said that silver rusted, silver doesn't rust. so i don't see why the hell your saying i don't understand!!
