Actually cannon, it says in the instruction manual to take the games out before turning off console as it may cause damage. Not that I do it! But the rest of the shit u said I agree with, mine clicks all the time when reading game discs.
What i've got so far: Wii, Wii Sports, Wii Play, LoZ: TP, Marvel: UA, Rampage: Total Destruction, WSOP: ToC, Excite Truck, TMNT Wiimote x2, Nunchuck x2, Classic Controller, Fan/Neon Lights, Wiimote Charger, Skins - Blue, Black, Pink, Green, Component Cables, Trial Opera Browser & Classic Games: DK Country, SimCity, Super Mario Bros., Kid Icarus, Super Mario World, Street Figher II, Castlevania IV, Zelda: LttP
I'm having a similar problem. This week my Wii started making clicking sounds constantly while playing any game. They never crash, but it just makes a lot of incredibly annoying clicks all the time. Anyone find out why this would happen?

Its normal. They all make a clicking noise it is just reading the disc. Leaving the disc in shouldn't cause any damage. The guy saying that stuff doesn't know what he is talking about. He said putting DVDs in it could harm it but Wii games are on DVDs and putting a Video DVD in wouldn't hurt it, it would just reject it.

Why do people comment on this, 360 sounds like a broken lawnmower no one complains about that. Anyays I just checked no clicking sound.
I commented because I've had mine since launch and it hasn't made a sound and just this week it started making wacky loud clicking noises the entire time I have played.

Haha I know my 360's fans have started making grinding noises. It sounds like its about to blow up. It still works though and I got a three year warranty for when it does die. I just hope it lasts until the ones with the new processors that generate less heat come out.Originally Posted by Wiitendo

It probably says that in the booklet for all consoles. I have been doing it on my Ps2 since launch day and it is still kicking fine.Originally Posted by WolfpacSnakepit
