    Nintendo Wii Region Free Or Not?

    Hi I have had my Wii from day 1 and still have a question that is un-answered. Is the Wii region free or not? I would like to import some games but dont want to spend the money only to find it wont work ir even ruin my beautiful Wii. Any Suggestions?

    dont buy any imports, they wont work

    i have tried american games on a uk wii, and uk games on an american wii, both gave the same error-

    "unable to read disc.....blah blah'

    i personally havent tried japanese games, but i think i read somewhere they wont play in other consoles, so i wouldnt waste your time
