    A newbie with one short question...

    I just got a wii and haven't bought a nintendo system since the original... I just bought a gamecube game to play on it, but it won't let me start the game without a memory card... do I need to buy a gamecube specific card or will any type of memory card do? (ie - one I would use on my computer) ... I'd greatly appreciate anyone's help

    You need a GC memory card. As far as the game knows its running on a GC so it can't utilize anything that the Wii has that isn't available on the GC.
