If they're rubber marks, take a tissue and some windex and clean it off. Also, try inserting it as close to the center as you can so there's not much alignment that has to be done.
The wii shoudl be played horizontal, just like any other cd drvice, stereo, in car cd player, dvd rom in a PC, dvd player etc. That way the disc is sittinh and spinning correctly. My opinion.

The wii can be used either vertically or horizontally. Says so in the manual, it's been said in various interviews...it is even shown vertical in advertisments. No harm will come to your discs. I understand how people want to keep their stuff in good shape, I'm like that too...but this is ridiculous![]()
