Connection Problems

Can anyone out there please help. Having terrible problems trying to connect the Wii wirelessly. It searches updates then tells me I need to agree to the user agreement. So then I try to reconnect and I am told I am not connected How can this be when it's already done a connection test and updated my system. Why is it not saving the connection
