I believe that wii will have a great online shooter but it could take time.

As far as control for first person shooters goes, the wii gives a surprisingly realistic feel perhaps? One doesn't feel nearly as in control when playing a shooter on the wii as one might on pc, but should you feel completely in control. Shouldn't it be a little chaotic? When playing shooters on the wii i feel more immersed but less in control.

Are you joking? The mouse and keyboard still by far allow more the fastest response and quickest turning.Originally Posted by matguy87

Agreed. The Wiimote is essentially a low resolution mouse where the mousepad is your television. It takes a lot less energy to move a mouse than to swing your arm all over the place.Originally Posted by vagrant
Nope not at all... While playing RE4 I barely have to move my hand to aim at targets across the screen and it is extremely fast and responsive... its also very accurate too. Shooting with the wiimote with a ton of targets is easy and is a lot more gratifying ( maybe its just RE4) than when I play with a FPSs with a mouse.Originally Posted by vagrant
You got me on the turning though. For MPC the screen moves faster and faster the closer your courser gets to the edge... seems like it could work well but I'll have to wait and see.

Mice are better for FPSs, even though I can't stand using them for gaming.

I love the wii and I love FPS on the wii.
But FPS are really more of a PC thing. Third person games work much better on consoles.

Red steel is probably the best FPS on the wii (and its not very good) so anything could beat it, eg MP3, now red steel 2 can set the bar for FPS's on consoles. (ps i prefer shooters on consoles rather than PC)

I'm not sure how many of you play/played DBZ: BT2 on the Wii but BT3 will have online and most DBZ games are competitive plus most people who really like it play hardcore although I'm not sure if it's what your looking for.
Naruto, Dragonball, Fullmetal Alchemist, Zoids, and Bleach some of the best animes of all time.
