    Maintenance mode???

    Has anyone tried this and found out how to do anything yet? Here's the instructions I've found for going into it:

    Turn on your Wii.
    Hold down the + and - buttons during the Health and Safety screen
    While holding down those buttons, hit A

    It works, but doesn't seem to do much...unless I'm missing something.

    Well, so far, the only thing I can do with it is turn off the messageboard thing.

    This thread was already made but the only things I know is that...

    1. It turns off the message board
    2. It can be dangerous for your data(could delete your data)
    3. It can be switched back by turning it off and then turning it back on
    4. I heard it can be used for hacking
    5. I heard its what some people use to fix there Wii

    and thats about it

    Can you link me to the thread? Also if you have all your data on an SD could you just copy it back?

    It looks like Maintenance mode is similar to starting in "safe mode"on windows.
