    The Wii and Gamecube

    Do gamecube game discs work in the Wii console? Could I just go to the store and by a gamecube disc and use it in my Wii? Sorry if this is a dumb ? but I am such a newbie at this wii thing that I need all the help I can get.

    Yes, Gamecube games work on the Wii, you will need a GC controller and memory card though.
    Wii games: Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4, Zelda TP, SSX: Blur, Excite Truck, The Godfather, and Mario Kart Wii
    PC games: Call of Duty 4, Halo 1, UT3, F.E.A.R., and The Orange Box.
    PS3 games: Ratchet and Clank F.T.O.D., Resistance 2, Wipeout HD, and MGS4.

    Yes, you can play GameCube games on the Wii. Just pick up a few GameCube controllers and a memory stick so you can save your data.
    A game I suggest is Super Smash Brothers Melee.

    Some people don't want to waste $25 on a NEW GC controller, $10 for memory Card, and other money for games =[, Kind of expensive if you add it up.

    $25 GC controller (New) + $10 Memory Card (New) + $30 SSBM (New) = $65 w/o Tax


    Remember If you are planning to go somewhere, You will need a Wii Remote to click on the Wii Channels. So Bring A Wii Remote!

    Definately, best game for the cube and it will get you hyped up for brawl Luigi's mansion is a great game, but it is easy and short.
