Ok i was wondering...it always shows the Wii Vertically standing in the wii holder thing, the majority of the time on a table too. so i was wondering if i was to lay my Wii Horizontally across a 1/2 year decently thick rug, would their be the possibility of the system overheating?

Yes, but not likely. The side vent on the Wii isn't for blowing out air, it's for taking in to allow air flow. Works the same way a PC does. That being said, you could always turn it on it's other side.

i could...but see its gonna be on a rug and standing up on a rug its gonna be like lopsided...and probably will fall over a couple times...so i figured it would be easier to lay it horizontally....idk i havent decided where its gonna be anyways.

Yes I understand that, but there are 2 possible sides to lay it down on horizontaly. The vent is only on one side. So, grab ity with your hand, lift, turn, and lay it on the other side.

Take a board set it where you want your Wii on your Rug and just stand it on that...
