Wii Set up problems still happening...help

Ok, so the udates on my new Wii never finished updating, it just sat there for 3 hours saying, updating, do not turn off'. the blue bar was almost at the other end and there was about less than 1/4 of an inch to go but it did not go anywhere. what is wrong? i brought the disk to my cousin's house and it worked fine there.

i ejected the wii sports disk. turned it off. put in starwars and that loaded no problem. played for about 1/2 hour until it froze. why??

the same thing happened to the sonic game. as it was going through the story in the beginning, then it suddenly froze. why?

is it the console?

i have been trying the nintendo 1-800 number for 2 hours and it keeps saying that my call did not go through. is there a different number?

damn sorry to hear that, stick with the customer service calls. I'm sure theres a lot of people calling them during this time of year.
