Orb is a program that lets you stream music and video from a PC to a Wii via the Wii's web browser. It is free and it works fine, ive used it many times to listen to music.

Yes exactly, my TV has one hell of a sound system.

For all of those who don't see the point in playing music and videos on Wii, please don't post here. Its called trying new things with the Wii and finding out its full capability. I know you can play music other ways so would you shut it for one second and let us discuss.

The problem with Orb is its only Windows compatible.

Yesterday I tried converting an episode of Lost and it turned into a 2 GB file... Theres gotta be a better way.

Thanks for the comments so far, please add more information!

    Yea good point.

It's not so much listening to music while playing (though I'm guilty of doing that while playing GTA, their sound tracks aren't the greatest), it's the fact of having the ability and knowing how to get full use of it. Principle my friend, principle.

Only if you download the Photo Channel update. The old Photo Channel uses mp3.
