gamecube games on wii

I have Paper Mario for gamecube and I can't seem to get it to work on my wii. It shows up on the home screen, but when I click on it I can't play it. What should I do????

What happens when you click on it?? Nothing? Or does it say can't read disc?

And do other GC games work on your Wii?

It goes to a black screen that says something about a controller and it will no longer let my wiimote connect to the wii. I haven't bought any more gamecube games to try because I couldn't get this one to work. Also I do have the other remote that plugs into the wiimote.

You gotta plug in a gamecube controller....

lol no you have to have a gamecube controller to play a gamecube game

And I didn't even know there was a GC controller that plugged into the Wii remote.

you have to use gamecube controllers because the wiimote is not compatiable
