i think what nintendo were actually doing wasn't trying to think of things THEY could make, but rather coming up with as many patents that they KNEW were ridiculous or wouldn't work. That way in getting the patent for these weird designs themselves they prevent other 3rd party companies like MadCatz or Nyko from making them.

Comic book companies do that too. The two that spring to mind are Spiderwoman and Batwoman, at the time Marvel and DC had no intentions of ever making such characters but they wanted to get the rights to the names right away to prevent other companies from making cheap knockoffs of their hit characters Spiderman and Batman.

you could always replace it with someone else's arm. i think it's more the point of gaining and arm, not so much depriving you of an arm.

You need 4 wiimotes and 4 wiimote cubese to constantly build the next block you need... Computer gives you one you build the next one... It would almost be as cool as a Lego build off tournament...
