    Wii Still Totally Dominating Japan

Nintendo's two killer apps [WiiFit and Brawl] helped the company move 331,627 Wii consoles, compared to Sony's sales of 89,131 PlayStation 3s over the same period.

And what of poor Microsoft? Its Xbox 360 continued its dismal showing in Japan, with a lowly 14,079 consoles making their way into the wild.

So Wii sales are like 24:1 XBox360 sales. Will Microsoft even release XBox720 in Japan?

Who knows, Japans trends have acctually changed from Consoles to Handhelds now. They use to always be number 2 for over all sales of consoles, but now they are last place for console sales.

Still when you consider size and population vs. USA or Europe market Japan has alot of gamers. To ignore them would be stupid, but with the current trends it might not be worth the investment on the console end of gaming in Japan. Not sure Microsoft will jump into this market number wise it would be a good call to get them in the number 1 slot, buisness wise it wouldnt help them really when you figure in the investment to get a large following.
