Problems setting up - black and white

Our tv doesn't have a 'white' connection, though we see a picture this is in black and white. we bought a scart which has the red, white and yellow connections, but again picture is still in black and white. its a panasonic tv, does anyone know anything else to suggest - either with the wii or the tv?
