Bet it'll only be to support their OWN drive, tho.

....you CAN use an external HD on the Wii. It just has to be formatted to FAT 32 instead of NTFS. And make sure you take any SD cards out.
But no, there is no homebrew on the Wii yet.
NO YOU CAN'T. If you did your research you'd know that this is a MYTH.Originally Posted by Kryptenx

But, I had a thought.. did it not work because it being a 40Gb drive and not split into smaller chunks? I dunno, I gave up bothering after a while.
it'd be interesting just to see it working.

There's no official hard drive. SD Cards can go up to 4gb and that should be enough for what you want to do.

Yeaaaaaa. I know. I don't really know why I want to see my wii with more capacity. i think it's just one of those things like furniture and an empty house: you know there's a space, so there's an urge to fill it. Like I said before, I can't really see me downloading any more VC games or anything else so I don't really see me needing any more space.
but, there's still that urge!

Actually according to Nintendo..."The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will likely not work with the Wii console."Originally Posted by christicehurst
It can be found at their support page here...

2GB is still plenty for what we can do with the Wii right now though.
What they are getting at is they don't support SDHC which most SD cards over 2GB are; if you can find an 4GB SD card that is Not SDHC then it should work.Originally Posted by saintjo
