Is it bad to turn your wii on/off a lot?

There are times, when i think of something i want try to, then i will shut it off, but then i might decide to play and turn it on etc. is it to do that too often to turn it on and turn it off? ALso, my cursor sometimes disaperars for a second, would that be b/c my sensor bar is too high up, and it might move to the left/right when i dont. my tv is mounted to the wall so its higher then me? or maybe i am too close? When i play downstairs it works fine. so i assume thats the reason? Thanks

I've had issues with my lights being picked up by the Wiimote. You might see if there are any lights in pairs in the area. You could also be too close. Turning it on and off won't hurt anything, though.

when i spoke to nintendo, they said its not a big deal, but dont do it like every seond on-off. if you play it a few times a day thats ok, but turning it on and off every minute could hurt the system
