    Fire Emblem Awakening: After the two remakes of Marth's games (see above), a Fire Emblem title for the Nintendo 3DS was announced on September 13th 2011 amidst a large number of other upcoming 3DS releases. Awakening (Nintendo 3DS, 2012/2013) stars yet another blue haired swordsman named Chrom. The game brings back the world map system of Gaiden and The Sacred Stones, reintroduces the skill system in a similar form to its Tellius incarnation, and sports a graphical style reminiscent of the Tellius games with a more cartoonish bent when it comes to 3D models and a Seinen art style for character portraits (a welcome departure from the DS games' overly realistic character models), with a 2½D map and 3D fights. A new feature introduced allows units to gang up on enemies when next to an attacking ally. The game was released in April of 2012 in Japan, and will reach international shores early 2013 (February 4th in the US).
