Who is the developer? Does EA still own the licence? EA ruined the bond franchise.

EON wasn't terrible. Heck, even Nightfire was good. EA is no Rare, that's for sure, but they do Okay.
Not that I'm expecting the greatest game ever, or even recently, but I don't anticipate utter failure either. They also have the opportunity to use the Wii control system to make both the spy and shooter portions of the game a lot of fun.

they need to make another goldeneye..
What's missing from the current incarnations that was in Goldeneye?Originally Posted by ottoman
At the time, I realize, Goldeneye defined the console FPS. It's hard to compete with that sort of nostalgia. But I don't see the franchise really having deteriorated or having lost elements. Indeed, it's added some spy-elements that make it more than just a shooter.

I remember reading in Game Informer about the new Bond game. I'll have to scan for the article later on. If I can find it I'll post something up. I just recall reading it and being interested, which for me and Bond games is a rare thing.
EA doesn't have the Bond license to thrill anymore, it's Activision and I believe that Treyarch is doing the development work. Here's an article from 2006 on it. http://wii.ign.com/articles/718/718890p1.html
Whoops... I checked my GI. I was totally wrong. The article I read was on a Counter Strike: Source mod for the PC that some team out there did that recreated Goldeneye. I think I just got that stuck in my head because it looked so sweet and they said it played very much like the old N64 game. Ah well. Sorry...
