yeah i know that its different, but what i ment was I expect it to be as entertaining, as in keeping you coming back for more, not just playing it once and then having it collect dust.

I guess this game is a must-get. But I've never even played the GC RE4. Which one should I get?

I hate to be "ants at a picnic" but here goes...
I am not normally one to complain willy-nilly about a title but I've gotta say that RE:4 for the Wii is a fairly low key affair compared to the GC from 2 years ago.
The graphics, although touted as not being any different from the GC - certainly look worse on the whole due to the texture mapping being restricted thru out, my god - talk about blurr-a-thon! I recently played the GC version and it certainly didn't stand out as much. How the.....
The animation and cutscenes - terribly noticeable as hashed together and unfluid when compared to the GC....when Leon jumps down off an object, the animation seems to jump noticeably to a set animation - not something I noticed before!
The camera - just plain awkward at times, certainly takes the shine off a great experience with the Wii controls.
The controls - all in all a definite improvement over any other version..stat!
All in all, a port of a great great game which has been less than impressive, for me anyhow and shows that anticipation doesn't always bring a pleasant surprise. Hope UC is better - it should be as built from the ground up.
Should it be that a 2 year old cutting edge game-port update on a more powerful machine can be slightly broken - phew I didn't think that I would even think it let alone write it....
How Capcom managed this is beyond comprehension - it sounds like I am bitching about it but I, for one, was taken by surprise and just felt the need to vent...
