DDR loud to Neighbours downstairs??

Hello,
I'm thinking of buying a DDR game, either the new wii one or an older one. My question is this:

Will it be too loud for my neighbour downstairs with all the stomping? If so, are there ways to dampen the stomping sounds, like putting padding under the mat? Also, are aftermarket mats better in this respect?

That sounds like an obvious answer but I'd have to spend all the money buying DDR before I could really find out if it was too loud for the neighbours. Anyone played DDR in an apartment?

If you get the pads with the foam inserts, it definitely dampens the noise.
You don't have to stomp like and elephant to play DDR.

You could always invite the neighbors up to play along.

ive gotten the cops called on me twice for getting my inner DDR on

so DDR is sadly not an option in my 2nd floor apartment now GRR lol

that and because im out of shape and since started and quit smoking but then quit quitting smoking and quit it again
