Can anyone help me with Madden 08?

im doing the hall of fame (superstar) mode, and i cant figure out how to edit my guys appearence (like give him long sleeves, a shaded facemask, eye pain) and i cannot find out how to give him a new haircut (barber)

i remember in 07 you could do both of these, and if they didnt include that in 08, it is just another dissapointment 08 provides...
