I was never one to be excited for this game. The game will be bought by people who are looking to get fit for the most part. There will be some that will hope for more games to use the balance board. I wont buy it until I'm sure that some good games will use the board.

Wii Fit looks abysmally stupid. Won't be buying.

I also HIGHLY doubt a single worthwhile game OTHER than Wii Fit will be released that utilizes the board.

    Total garbage idea.

There are literally MILLIONS of people who disagree with you - it's already been a massive success in Japan, and in the UK it's the number one bestselling item in video games on Amazon (and other sites too), and it hasn't even been released yet!

With that sort of support and numbers behind it, developers will be falling over themselves to develop games for it. Sure it might take a while for really great games to come out for it, and I can see a lot of skiing and snowboarding games for the near future, but it'll happen.

What about if the next Tony Hawk supported it, so you actually skateboard?!

There are too many possibilities for it to fail, and people said exactly what you posted about the Wii originally, and that isn't doing too badly

Don't get me wrong, if developers really pick it up and it ends up having a lot of great games, I'll give it a shot.

But I definitely don't see that happening. Ever.

It won't be as boring as Wii Sports. There are about 40 different activities on Wii Fit.

Wiifit, though somewhat a game is meant to encourage people to know more about their health. So don't expect something like Mario Party and stuff. Basically you measure your something (IMB or something?) everyday and keep track of how you're doing and what factor influences it (ie. day of the week, what you ate, etc.) It's a touch generation game (much like Brain Age), and this sort of game may not appeal to all.

Just something to consider before buying/ranting : )
