    Spore new thred

I have moved this thred since i found out it is coming out on the Wii and DS.

I don't know if many people have heard about this game since its hasn't had that much attention but what do you think about it. I know its out on the Mac and PC in september.

I know the second ones a long video and some of its not very good quality but you have to admit its funny.

I'll probably get it for PC rather than Wii.

    The Nintendo DS version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spore_Creatures
According to this, you won't need a friend code for the WiFi. There's a plus.

Regarding the Wii version, here is a portion of an interview with Patrick Buechner of Maxis.
Finally, Buechner confirmed that a Wii version of Spore is in the works at Maxis, but "it'll be some time". Asked if it would be close to the scope of the PC and Mac game, or a more limited spin-off like the DS version, he would only say, "We're not porting it over. You know, we're still so early in design and prototyping that I don't know where we're going to end up, so I don't want to lead you down one path. But suffice to say that it's being developed with the Wii controls and technology in mind."

Seems like PC would be the way to go. Heh, the PC version is released a few days before my birthday. It's on the list already.

Awesome!!! I think the Wii version should be it's own unique creature. Nintendo should eat this up and support these guys so it can be the "Little Big Planet" of the Wii.

It would not be able to attain this status since it's not exclusive. Although I get what you mean and an exclusive title like this would probably bring even more people to the wii.
