I never really played the other Smash Bros titles. and i hear online is laggy right now. I'm really just waiting for Mario Kart and thought i would give superstar tennis a shot till MK came out...

What games do you have, perhaps we can suggest a better alternative to tennis if you are not interested in smash bros. I don't think the reviews for superstar tennis were all that good. I tend to avoid buying anything under an 8/10 on IGN.

I bought it. I like it enough to keep it. I guess the only thing it's missing is online play but other than that if ur skeptical about buying it then rent it.

Is this going to happen now on every game someone is asking about? Yeah we know ssbb is out there. It's hard to miss. It's not something you really have to hype. The original poster is asking about a tennis game. Despite all its strengths, I don't think Smash has a tennis option. Apples and oranges...

If anyone has any personal experience with Sega Superstar Tennis, I'd love to hear about it too. I'm getting tired of playing the same two players over and over in Wii Tennis now. I'd especially love to hear experiences/preferences the control schemes. The reviews I've read all make reference to the multiple schemes but don't comment much about them.

hey there i curently own sega tennis and it's a cool game I'm a tennis game fan so i went out and bought this one when it had just came out. I currently only play with wimote option only when i'm playing against someone or a character from the game in the match and tournament mode. I find it easier to control as of now b/c of the way i learned how to play from wii sports tennis. But the traditional way you hold the wiimote are required for playing the many mini games that it has through out the game. The nunchunk w/ wiimote is required if you want to hit those power shots that makes it hard for your component to hit back. The games rating is a litte to low from ign IMO. I would have given it at least a 8 but I never listen to reviews anyway so what the hell. If you want further info about the game just PM me i'll be more than happy to tell you

My friend's younger brother (who gets a Wii game every time he finishes a book), purchased SEGA Superstars Tennis. When I went to give it a try, I found that it was fun, and kept me hooked for a while. However, like WiiSports, the novelty wears off pretty quick.

While it's an improvement from WiiSports, and the gameplay is creative and fun, the replay value is low.

    My Score: 7.5/10
