Keep waiting. Microsoft recently announced that the Netflix deal on game consoles was exclusive to the 360. I'm sure there's probably some sort of time limit for the exclusivity, but it could be awhile...
Nope, the Microsoft exclusive is about the special features and not a complete exclusive.

If you remember, Netfix plans to jump the Wii's bandwagon using a special DVD to install the service. Remember what the Lion's Gate CEO says about the service coming to the Wii:"The Wii owners soon will receive a surprise, a great streaming movie service".
Also, why not the Wii service would have his own unique features. Probaly BETTER than the xbox360 Netfix service...

    From Microsoft's upgrade notes:
"This exclusive partnership offers you the ability to instantly stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix to the television via Xbox 360. Xbox 360 will be the only game console to offer this movie-watching experience, available to Xbox LIVE Gold members who are also Netflix unlimited plan subscribers**, at no additional cost."

That doesn't say it's just their special features that are exclusive to the 360. It's referring specifically to the ability to stream movies and TV from Netflix to the console.

I compared the Casino Royale Blu-ray and the Special widescreen edition on DVD. And I note a slightly difference apart the Blu-ray extended features.
Soon I will show you some screens comparing both.

Look at the size difference between what the Xbox360 uses and what the PS3 uses, Blue Ray can hold a lot more "game" content then what Xbox360 has available. Yet Sony never really utilizes the size difference, mostly because that would require a game that belongs to the PS3 only.

How many games do you see that are multi platform games? When hit games come out that are multi platform it really does limit the PS3 potential, you think Microsoft would let Sony add in a bunch of content into their games? No, they want the games to be equal for the most part content wise.

Which is why Sony needs to come up with more Intellectual Properties that are PS3 exclusive only, the hardest part is probably trying to make the IP something that people "must" have.

So to answer your question "What else were you hoping they would do with blu-ray?" I want them to actually make a game that utilizes the full Blue Ray potential, that way people will stop assuming the Blue Ray feature is for "movies" only.
Size difference is really not an issue, as many of the games released on the 360 reaching over a certain point will simply add another disc to the fray. A good example of this is probably many of the RPGs sporting tons of CGI cutscenes and gameplay. Lost Odyssey took up 4, Blue Dragon took 2, and others took multiple discs as well.

What I'm impressed is though how the PS3 slashed it's price in half since 2006, and yet, adding more HDD and making a more attractive offering at a measly $300. You might say $300 is the sweet spot, but for a console that can do what it does, $400 is a great price for this console. There really is no excuse to not pick up a PS3/360 at this point and time. The Elite bundle is also now going for $300. The Wii, at $250, is looking like the one that is now expensive for what it actually offers.

No. Care to explain why it would be better?

The extra features that separate the PS3 slim from the Wii do more than justify the extra $50 dollars on its price tag. Also remember that PS3 is going to have the wiimote-like motion controllers coming next year which has already been seen through tech demos to be more accurate than the Wii's motion controls.

PS3 slim is such a better investment in so many ways it is ridiculous.

Do you know of any multiplatform games where the Xbox360 version has multiple disks?

Your example of the Xbox360 exclusives is not really what I was talking about, I never said Microsoft wouldn't release more then 1 disk for a game.

I think Sony is too worried about getting games that other consoles have too at the moment, instead of making a name for itself.

Having a game that takes up the full storage space of a blu-ray disc doesn't automatically make it a good game.
