There will be a follow-up to last year's best-selling WiiWare title, LostWinds. This was confirmed by Frontier via a press release sent out earlier today. The sequel will be entitled LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias.
In the sequel, you will have, once again the power of the wind in the palm of your hands, to use in protecting and guiding Toku. With the wind in your control, you can help Toku jump, glide, smash enemies, and explore all-new expanses in the magical world of Mistralis.
Not only do you control the wind, you can also control the Mistralis seasons, transforming it between Summer and Winter for the full use of environ at your command. A new cyclone power will also be available, allowing you to transport Toku through the Chilling Peaks and Melodia City areas,
Says David Braben, Chairman and founder of Frontier:
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias will delight both new and returning players. Every aspect has been extended and polished, and the major new gameplay elements dovetail perfectly to give a fantastically rich, fun, innovative experience.
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias will be available via WiiWare. No release date and pricing detail have been announced thus far, but in the meantime, you can check out these screenshots.
