The Wii runs much cooler using a wired instead of wireless connection. My console went from being very warm all the time on all sides to slightly warm on one side and almost cool on the other.

Not sure about the wireless connection but if you have tested it and not feedin us bullshit then It's an OKGO for me.

    *update*

I'm forced to lie mine flat due to space restrictions, but thanks for the info anyway.

Oh you would like to think so... but I love Austin cause there is actually a Dave and Busters around the corner and no one can pass up video games and alcohol.

Oh and just to clearify, on the side I mean where you can feed the disc in horizontally if you haven't gotten it by now with the bottom intake fan and the back fan exposed.

    *UPDATE*
Been 2 days so far no freezing at all no decrease in performance.

The stand raises it too so the airway at the bottom is still unblocked. My wii is never warm ( ) and mine has always been vertical in the stand.

Well good for you and what I have noticed and everyone I have show agrees with me that none of the airways should be blocked. With anything.
