yes, you will get an improvement, but wont make the most of the component cables without a tv that can display 480p

component cables are definitely worth picking up, even if you don't have a fancy HDTV. I bought myself a set of Psyclone Component Cables (same ones I use in my Xbox and Xbox 360) and they make the colors look so crisp and clear. They were $59.99 and extremely worth it.

So bottom line is if you don't have an HDTV then you don't need Component Cables right? And if you do have one make sure its a decent or high quality HDTV? Where does all this plasma, cell stuff come into play? This technology stuff really confuses me...

Bottom line is, if you have a HDTV then by all means get component cables as they will noticably enhance the picture quality. However if you also have a standard tv and are aware that it can produce 480p then yes you can also get component cables and notice a slight increase in picture quality.

You don't have component inputs to your TV. Go return the component cables.
