    why does everybody care so much about this? im just assuming here, but if you can buy a wii, you probably already have a dvd player.... so why does it matter?

    not only that, right now, dvd's are getting old, why would nintendo put a dvd chip on the wii, when ps3 already have blueray..... I would say it would be a waste for nintendo doing a wii with dvd playback... almost every house have a dvd player. they should be worrying about high definition dvd playback or blue-ray disc playback
