will the wii have an ethernet cable port?

    i was just wondering...
For he is God's servant to do thee good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the servant of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Romans 13:4

It will come with a USB to Ethernet cable - the USB side intending to be pluged into the back of the Wii.

Mail me if you want to add me on either the Wii or the 360.

I was wondering about this also, afew months back. But then I just decided to buy a Router recently.

Never had a Router before, never really wanted one. But I have to be prepared for the Wii.

if your gonna buy a router so you can play the wii online, get a wireless one because the wii has wireless built in so as soon as you turn it on, it sould connect to your internet if you have a wireless router (unless you have the router MAC filtered like me, then you gotta get the mac address of the Wii and put it in the trusted list)

The one I bought is Wireless, I probably should have mentioned that.

I still have yet to set it up though, I'm not going to until I actually get a Wii.

No, the USB adapter does not connect to the Wii. The USB adapter connects to your internet-connected computer, which transmits wirelessly to the Wii. This same adapter is already on the market for the DS.
... but what do I know?...

Why don't you guys just get the PSP Wifi MAX
Its just like Nintendo's USB Wifi Connector but it also works for the psp, laptops, mobile devices that use internet, game consoles (ex. Wii), it even works for the ds. Plus its only 40 dollars and its a good alternative if you dont have a router. But the catch is that the thing you are using has to be like 40 feet in range.

here is a picture of the PSP Wifi MAX:

here is the website to learn more about it:
