Gamecube controllers on wii

I bought a 'cube controller' off amazon and on there it says that it works on wii but it clearly doesnt
so im just wonderin what other gamecube controllers all you other guys have that work with VC and gamecube games

all gc controllers work on the wii (for vc games and gc games some wii games)

u must have a busted gc controller

i have a 3rd party gc controller works fine

i even have a ps2 to gamecube controller adpater and that works great

so its prolly the controller.

make sure u plug it in the 1st player not the forth (i read in another thread some1 made that mistake)

Yeah make sure it is in controller port 1, and the special design of the Wii-mote is obviously not in the gamecube so they are not going to work for at of Wii games.

I'm quite sure when it ss it works for the Wii it didnt mean on Wii games just to clarify that up.

both my Gamecube pads are official
They work just fine with Gamecube and Virtual Console games on the Wii

Some third party GC controllers do not seem to work with the wii. I have a logic3 GC controller and it has caused no problems with both GC and VC games.
