VC games and the classic controller ?

Well i bought a classic controller so i could play virtual console games and so i wouldnt have to hire out a nintendo gamecube controller, but i also wanted the classic controller to play gamecube games but it dosent work,
is there any other way to use a wii controller for a gamecube game or do you need to have a gamecube controller ?

Yes you do need a GC controller to play GC games. Classic is only used for VC games and for nothing more. I personally got GC controllers instead of the classic so that I could play both GC and VC games.
