Is this bad for my wii?

I got home today and turned on my wii and it said it was having a problem reading the disc. I ejected it to find it had been inserted the wrong way round by a younger cousin of mine and i was wondering, does anyone know how bad this is (if at all) for the disc or the wii?

No problems with my Wii so far since Dec 8th. D/W mate your Wii will be fine

Lol, i did this the other day and i was like 'omg my wii sports disk is so busted' but i realised i inserted it the wrong way, what a ragger lol

I know the postion is lame because I have mine laying horizontally (don't want mother dear to knock it over while she is hoovering my room), but I haven't inserted the disc the wrong way because of it. But it shouldn't do anything so you should be fine.

Thats what happen to me,
When i first got my wii i put it in the wrong way.

I havnt done this yet but i cant see how it would do any damage. The laser just wont be able to read the disc's contents
