Can someone tell me how good the virtual console controller works? I'm considering buying this but am not sure if it would be worth it.

Myself I find the Classic Controller very capable especially for fighting games on the Wii. I bought two to play DBZ with and so far I can say it's much easier pulling combo and super moves with the Classic Controller (button layouts are better, analog sticks have more resistance). Also the D-Pad is great for 2D fighters such as Guilty Gear in the near future (bigger than Gamecube D-Pad and more responsive). I also have a Wavebird but compared to the Classic Controller in fighting games there's no match. So if your a hardcore fighting fan like myself, it's a no brainer.
***Excellent for Virtual Console also, better then Wavebird/Gamecube controller in my opinion.
i agree. the classic controller brings a nostalgic feel back into gaming, the type of feeling you used to get when turning on your super nintendo. at only 20 dollars a piece, it's a really good investment, especially considering ssmb won't be utilizing the wii remote. go ahead and get it...i'm betting you won't be disappointed.
