Wii on my dell monitor using XCM UNIVERSAL YPBPR VGA BOX

I have the Dell 20in e207wfp lcd monitor and want to connect wii to it. I googled all round and what nots and came to the conclusion of this product

What i wanted to know is if I use this, would the graphics and resolution be crappy and laggy. It states that it has
- Double scan conversion (31.5KHz for NTSC, 31.25KHz for PAL).
- Up to 1080i resolution

I don't know too much about the 1080i resolution and I heard that wii only support up to 480p / i ?? or something like that. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in adv.
