    Australian Wii and US games?

Can Australian Wii play US Wii games?
I'm desperately to know this answer.
    Thanks!

    No...

Not unless you have a mod chip installed.

It lets you play other games such as UK, Japan, US.

    BUT
    - It's Illegal
    - If your Wii breaks the Warranty doesn't cover it because of the chip
    - It can backfire if Nintendo release an update

    Have fun

Only one of your "buts" were incorrect, the first one...

In Australia, modchips are not illegal, however the other two still apply!

Not all mod chips support region-free, although the most popular ones are (for obvious reason). Check before you install it.

Considering you dont know what a mod chip is and you dont know anything about region coding lets just say you wouldnt have an idea on how to install a mod chip.

Exactly what I was thinking. That and he will probably brick his Wii with a firmware update.
