except for the fact that they are too big and that we have already seen all angles of the system and that eb games already has wiis in there back room i'm sure that employees have opened them and played with them i know i would lol
Hmm. Do you think there's a built-in Wavebird reciever?
Too costly.Originally Posted by frodlekceps
The Wii only features Bluetooth internally, while the sensor bar is made up of IR LEDs.
The WaveBird, however, is stuck on old RF technology.
so that still leaves option open for making GC and other controllers with bluetooth functionality in the futureOriginally Posted by teqguy
Sure, but why would you do that when all the controllers you need have been made available already?

What they could do is making a different shaped reciever, since the current one for the gc is like a L shape:
What they could do is move the part where it connects to the gc (the metal part that sticks out). They could move it 90 degrees and make it straight. This way, it'll stick out instead of having the flaps on the wii making it hard to put on. Not sure how the wavebird currently stays on though. Plus, the Wavebird uses signals with numbers so you don't need to buy a whole new controller, just the reciever
In the amount of time and money it would take to release one, everyone who has a WaveBird would've already grown accustomed to removing the reciever when they want to close the flap. Besides, by your argument, you still wouldn't be able to close the flap, due to how shallow it is.Originally Posted by COLDshiver
It's just frivolous accessories like updates and remakes to already perfect hardware that Nintendo really could do without right now.
After all, they're trying to prove to people that this isn't GameCube 2.0. Due to this fact, I bet you will never see a first party game utilize a GameCube controller throughout the entire existence of the Wii.
And no, SSBB doesn't count because it's a third party developer using first party trademarks.
