Anyone know where I can get cable that connects faceplate to unit?

I recently installed a modchip and when reassembling the unit I accidently broke the red cable that connects the faceplate (where DVD's are inserted) to the unit. This is a tiny plug with a red/black cable connecting the faceplate controls to the unit. I was able to solder a hair thin wire left to the remaining red cable and the unit works. I am afraid with the inserting of the DVD's the soldering may not hold. I went to Radio Shack and found a portable phone battery which had a similar connector end but I am afraid to open unit and break the soldering for good. Nintendo support was of no help. Anyone had the same issue.
