check your sensitivity. btw that thing you call a wii mosue is actually called a cursor.
and yes, its plugged in and facing me. It can go to the home menu and stuff like that. It just doesn't have a mouse or pointer or cursor
and I did read the manual...nothing helped.

Chheck if your sensor bar is actually working, just grab a digital camera or a cel phone camera and point it at the sensor bar. On the screen you should see 5 small lights on each side of the sensor bar, this are infrared lights, thats why you don't see them normally with your eyes. If the lights are there, then the Wiimote is the problem.

Is anything in the way between the wiimote and the sensor bar? It will also make a cursor not show up.

is there any light near or around the wii like a window? i had the same problem and it was because of light. hope your problem is not that serious.
