Sales are not everything, developers also look for gameplay and graphics, if a console is currently the leader in the market doesn't mean every developer will flock to them. Then I noticed Call of Duty 4 wasn't being released on the Wii even though the Wii Console has outsold the 360 and PS3 manyfold.
I would think a more packed controller would feel jammed and not as sleek and smooth as the wii's persona. Think how would they fit more buttons on that design without deforming it and making it an odd looking remote/control hybrid. Nintendo are aiming for the casual market and making complex confusing controls will not benefit the cause.I hope they come out with a "Wiii". As easy to use an alternate wand with more buttons for non-simple games. There would be no need to get a different wand unless you were playing complesx games like COD4 etc.
So you want the same design but more complex?I know they have a controller, but i really like the wand\nunchuck. Also maybe a 40 gig laptop HardDrive and decent VideoCard.
Why would the wii have a laptop harddrive
It would surely be an external HD, not a laptop one
The graphics are not as simple as a video card change in consoles.
Check your specs, the wii is stronger then last generation, give it time for the best looking games to come out, look at PS2 for example it only showed its real power near the end with games such as God Of War 2.The problem with the Wii hasn't been the price, its the 'Last Gerenation" graphics.
Your now wanting a whole different console.i think if they came out with the additions where the wand would be 50 instead of 40 retail and the console came with a standard controller with a little better video and a harddrive. It could sell for 300 easy (40 for HD 40 for better video card). I would buy one today. I think most Wii FPS-Players would.
One of the wii's attraction is the game play from it and the price, making complex controls, hard drives and graphics like the competition would just make it another console not an innovative step forward for video gaming.
