if you need 4 wiimotes, then yes.
I find just 2 to be enough. I'd rather stick money into more games/points to buy games on the VC.
Our family has 4 wiimotes because some of our games allow 4 people to play at once against each other.

The real question is: Do you have lots of friends who like video games? If yes then yes.
i always get three controllers for all my nintendo systems
n64: 3 controllers
cube: 3 controllers
wii: 3 wiimotes and nunchucks
It depends if you have friends that want to play all at once. It comes in handy at parties. But it won't be necessary until later. Brawl is compatible with GC controllers and a few other controller schemes. Also, if you get Wiimotes, you also have to get nunchucks, and the cost rises for every controller. I would just start off with two.

why would you buy 4 if your wii comes with 1 lol then you only need to buy 3
If you need 4, see if you can buy 4 Wii Plays, keep the remotes & sell the games by themselves...![]()
don't get 4 get 3. 5 Wii motes would just be just unnecessary.
