Wii Remote partially working

Help! I have read through the threads (really useful stuff here!) and have not found a similar situation. my remote works when I am using buttons or aiming, but for detecting motion (like a golf swing, or bowling) the Wii doesn't seem to see it moving. tried re-synching, batteries are fine). Any suggestions?

I had the same problem.
look at the sensor bar with a digital camera (about 1' away) and see if you see red lights on the left side and on the right side.
If you see them only on 1 side then your sensor bar is broken and you'll have to call tech support to get them to send out a new one.

Oh lawdy.

Hit the remote a few times on your palm to "unstick" the accelerometers.

The sensor bar does nothing with movement.
