Classic controller?

I've been looking at buying a couple of the classic controllers but I've been reading that the N64 controller is a better controller to buy. Is this true?

i hear both sides. i heard on a podcast the classic feels too light and breakable but then ive heard the classic is just like the snes controllers and has a good feel. all opinionated i guess.
