    TV Resolution

    As you can tell by looking at my details to the left I live in Australia.

    I have a 42" Grand Wega with a HD set top box.
    The HD channels are marked as 1080i.
    ABC HD is 720p I think.
    Seven SD is 576p.
    All the other digital channels are marked as SD.

    What I want to know is, if SD is 480p, therefore giving me a indication of the picture quality of the Wii. (The Wii is 480p isn't it?)

    I think that SD is 480i and 480p is called ED. (enhanced)

    Yup, but 480p will look a lot better than 480i since you got a wider screen and more pixels is showing on the screen.

    SD is standard. = NO 480p, just 480i

    ED is enhanced definition. = 480p compatible

    HD is high definition. = 480p compatible
