Nintendo hasn't said anything, but it looks like you'll have to recharge the batteries in a battery recharger (or get new ones if you use non-rechargables) every time they're low on power, like with the 360 controller. As for the battery life, I'm afraid I have no idea.
I think there are some wireless chargers for the 360 that you can buy to charge it while your playing, they may do something like that
